Vinyasa Level 1

Studio A   |

This class is for everyone and everybody. The only requirement is a smile! Vinyasa translated in Sanskrit means connection. This class synchronizes movement with breath. The synchronization helps the practitioners develop a greater sense of self-awareness, balance, and harmony with themselves and their environment. The class will typically include smoothly flowing movements between poses guided by the breath. Each class is unique, but may include the many variations of sun salutations, standing postures, inversions, backbends, twists, forward folds, breath work, meditation, and deep relaxation. This class will most likely be accompanied by music and held in a slightly heated room to promote detoxification and flexibility.

Level 2 may include more dynamic and complex postures that may include arm balances, deeper backbends, and more complicated inversions. These inversions could include handstands, forearm stands, headstands and variations of shoulder stands. We recommend practitioners have previous experience with yoga asana and Pranayama. These classes are intended to further develop an already safe and confident practice while guiding students toward a deeper understanding of all aspects of yoga.
